Where Google Cloud Is the Right Choice, and Where It Isn't

Google Cloud development services cover the design, build, migration and operation of software on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). That means apps on Cloud Run and GKE, data platforms on BigQuery, and AI features on Gemini and Vertex AI. It also covers the CI/CD, identity and cost controls that keep them running.

Choose Google Cloud when

✓  Analytics is the product, or close to it. BigQuery runs SQL over terabytes with no clusters to size or tune, and bills for data scanned or slots reserved. Your team spends time on questions instead of warehouse capacity.

✓  You want Gemini in your apps, close to your data. Vertex AI serves Gemini models next to BigQuery and Cloud Storage, so grounding does not mean copying data to another vendor. Agent Development Kit gives you an open framework for agents.

✓  Your services run in containers, or should. Kubernetes started at Google, and GKE Autopilot handles nodes, scaling and patching for you. Cloud Run goes further and scales containers to zero between requests.

✓  Your company already runs on Google Workspace. Identity, groups and admin policies carry over through Cloud Identity. Connected Sheets and Looker let analysts query BigQuery from tools they already use.

Where we'd tell you not to

> Your estate is Windows, .NET Framework and SQL Server. License reuse, Entra ID and Microsoft support make Azure the simpler and usually cheaper home. Our dedicated Azure developers can scope that path.

> Your workload depends on a niche service or region. If you rely on a managed service Google does not offer, a region only AWS serves, or AWS Marketplace contracts, AWS usually fits better. Our dedicated AWS developers work there.

> You need a simple site or one small internal app. A brochure site or a five-screen tool doesn't need projects, VPCs and IAM bindings. Firebase Hosting or a managed host like Vercel will cost less and ship sooner.

WHAT WE BUILD

Our Google Cloud Development Services

Six kinds of GCP development services we deliver, each listed with the stack we'd actually use.

Google Cloud Application Development

Application development services in GCP for web, mobile and SaaS products. We run APIs on Cloud Run and keep data in AlloyDB or Firestore. Identity Platform handles sign-in, and Terraform defines every project from sprint one.

Migration and Modernization to Google Cloud

Our enterprise cloud solutions team starts with a dependency map, not a lift-and-shift quote. VMs move with Migrate to Virtual Machines, databases through Database Migration Service, and monoliths split into Cloud Run services one piece at a time.

Migration Center, Migrate to Virtual Machines, Database Migration Service, Apigee

Cloud-Native Delivery on GKE and Cloud Run

GCP cloud development for containerized systems. GKE Autopilot runs long-lived services without node management, Cloud Run scales request-driven work to zero, and Pub/Sub decouples the two. We plan retries and dead-letter topics before the first deploy.

Data Platforms and Integration on BigQuery

Our data engineering and analytics team lands ERP, SaaS and event data in BigQuery through Dataflow and Datastream. Dataform models it, Looker serves it, and Apigee fronts the APIs other systems call.

DevOps, Quality Engineering and Support on GCP

Our DevOps and quality engineering team ships through Cloud Build and Cloud Deploy, or GitHub Actions if that's your standard. Playwright covers the UI layer. After launch we watch Cloud Monitoring, tune committed use discounts and own the alerts.

Google Cloud AI Software Development With Gemini

Google Cloud AI software development inside the apps you already run. We ground Gemini on Vertex AI in your documents and BigQuery tables, then test answers before release. Production agents use Agent Development Kit, part of our agentic AI integration work.

ENGAGEMENT & COST

How You Engage Us, and What Drives the Cost

Three commercial shapes, and an honest account of what moves the number. You shouldn't have to fill in a form to learn how a partner charges.
WHAT ACTUALLY MOVES THE NUMBER
Seniority mix
An architect-heavy team costs more per month and usually less overall. The wrong mix shows up as rework, not as an invoice line.
Scope certainty
Fixed price needs fixed scope. Where the requirement is still moving, time and materials beats the contingency a fixed bid has to carry.
Compliance requirements
Regulated environments add evidence, review cycles and audit trails. That is real work, and it belongs in the estimate rather than in a surprise.
Integration surface
The number of systems you must talk to predicts effort better than feature count. Ten integrations is a different project from two.

HOW WE DELIVER

Our Enterprise-Ready Delivery Framework

The same five steps on every engagement.
STEP 01
Contextual Readiness
Ready-to-deploy solutions for your environment. We map the existing estate, its dependencies and its constraints before proposing anything.
STEP 02
Seamless Vendor Onboarding
Rapid integration with existing vendor ecosystems. Access, environments, security review and ways of working, handled so engineering time isn't spent on procurement.
STEP 03
Platform-Agnostic Engineering
Works across any technology stack. We build on the stack that earns its place. We won't force a technology decision to suit our bench.
STEP 04
Flexible Engagement Model
Scalable team structures to your needs. The commercial shape can change as the work does, without renegotiating the relationship.
STEP 05
Hybrid Global Delivery
Onshore, nearshore and offshore delivery, with overlap hours that make standups worth attending.
WHEN WE'RE STAFFING A TEAM
Curated profiles · 24 to 48 hrs
Onboard & kickoff · 48 to 72 hrs
Our published staffing SLAs, from the point a requirement is agreed. You interview the engineers before committing.
HOW IT RUNS IN PRACTICE
Two-week sprints, demoable increments, a backlog your product owner controls
Peer review on every change and quality gates that block rather than warn
Canary and blue-green releases with rollback, so a bad deploy is a non-event

FAQS

Google Cloud Development FAQs

Still have a question?

Should we use Cloud Run or GKE?

Use Cloud Run for stateless, request-driven services and GKE for workloads that need long-running processes, custom networking or Kubernetes tooling. Cloud Run bills per request and scales to zero, so an idle service costs almost nothing. GKE Autopilot removes node management but still gives you the full Kubernetes API, sidecars and operators. Many teams start on Cloud Run and move a service to GKE only when it outgrows it.

How much does it cost to run applications on Google Cloud?

Google Cloud bills by usage, so your design choices move the bill more than list prices do. Sustained use discounts apply automatically to many Compute Engine machine types, and committed use discounts cut steady compute further. For BigQuery, pick on-demand pricing or reserved slots, and partition tables so each query scans less. Budgets plus billing export to BigQuery show cost by team before the invoice arrives.

How long does a migration to Google Cloud take?

Rehosting a handful of VMs can take weeks, while moving a data warehouse to BigQuery usually runs a few months. Three things set the pace: data volume, the number of upstream feeds, and how much logic lives in stored procedures or ETL jobs. BigQuery Migration Service translates SQL from Teradata, Redshift, Snowflake and other warehouses, which shortens the rewrite. Moving one pilot workload first gives you a real baseline.

Does Gemini on Vertex AI train on our data?

No, Google states that it does not use your Vertex AI prompts, outputs or data to train its models without your permission. Grounding against BigQuery or Cloud Storage keeps the data inside your project. VPC Service Controls can fence those services off from the public internet. You can add customer-managed encryption keys and regional data residency on top.

What does a GCP development service handle, and what does Google handle?

Google secures the infrastructure, and your development partner secures everything built on it: IAM roles, network design, encryption keys, data access and application code. A good GCP development service sets up the organization, folders and policies before the first workload lands. Google signs a HIPAA Business Associate Agreement for covered services, but the configuration that makes an app compliant is still your side. Entrans holds ISO 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type II certifications.
