Entrans provides Django web development services for portals, SaaS products and internal tools, with clean APIs behind them. Senior Python engineers also take over old enterprise code, including apps still on Django 4.2, which lost security support in April 2026.
Django development services cover building, upgrading and supporting web apps on Django. Django is the free, open-source Python framework run by the Django Software Foundation. Typical work covers data models, the admin, REST APIs, background jobs, cloud deployment and moving old apps onto a supported release.
✓ Your app is mostly data, users and permissions. Customer portals, back-office tools and multi-tenant SaaS spend most of their code on models, forms and access rules. Django ships the ORM, auth and admin for that, so your team writes business logic instead of plumbing.
✓ Operations staff need a back office on day one. The Django admin turns your data models into a working internal tool for support and finance teams. You get months of use out of it before a custom UI is worth building.
✓ You want Python across web, data and AI. If your analysts and ML engineers already work in Python, Django keeps one language from model code to API. Shipping AI features and sharing libraries gets simpler.
✓ The app has to outlive its first team. Django's conventions put models, views and URLs where a new developer expects them. Add a published support calendar, and handovers and audits get cheaper.
> Your product is a set of small, async-heavy APIs. With no admin, no server-rendered pages and thousands of open connections per service, Django's built-ins are weight you carry. FastAPI with Pydantic is the leaner choice there, and we'd say so.
> The app is real-time first and your team writes JavaScript. Chat, live collaboration and streaming dashboards can run on Django Channels. But a TypeScript stack shares code and people with your React front end, so our Node.js development team is the better fit.
> Your estate is standardized on Microsoft. If identity lives in Entra ID, data sits in SQL Server and your ops team runs Azure, .NET keeps tools and hiring consistent. We would point you to our .NET development services instead.
We build portals, multi-tenant SaaS and internal platforms on Django 5.2 LTS. Each app gets clear boundaries and an admin set up for the people who run the business. Tenant isolation, role-based access and audit logging go into the data model from the first sprint.
We move apps stuck on Django 3.2 or 4.2 forward one LTS at a time, fixing deprecation warnings and keeping tests green at each step. PHP and Rails apps can come onto Django too, as part of wider application modernization.
We containerize Django behind Gunicorn or Uvicorn and move sessions and cache to Redis. Static files go to object storage, so the app scales out. Deployments land on enterprise cloud infrastructure in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, defined in Terraform.
We build versioned, documented APIs for web and mobile apps on Django REST Framework, with rate limits and per-object permissions. Celery workers take the slow jobs, such as ERP syncs, payment webhooks and report builds, so requests stay fast.
Our DevOps and quality engineering setup tests each pull request and checks it for missing migrations and risky packages. After launch, we apply Django security releases and track errors and slow queries in Sentry.
Most AI work in a Django product is plumbing. An LLM call runs in a Celery task, embeddings sit in pgvector next to your data, and permissions apply before anything is retrieved. We add it as AI integration work, without a rewrite.
80%
Reduction in Manual Reconciliation Effort
Built a Python and Flask app that reads invoices with LLMs on AWS Bedrock and checks each one against purchase orders and goods receipt notes.
175%
faster flow sheet design and prototyping
Replaced manual flow sheet design with a web app: a Python and Spring Boot backend calculates design parameters, and an LLM assistant pulls up past project data.
100+
Institutional Tenants supported with scholarship operations across every release
Modernized a multi-tenant platform split across .NET 8, Angular 18 and a legacy AngularJS layer, adding role-based access and faster EF Core queries.

Yes, Django is still a strong choice in 2026 for data-heavy web applications, portals and SaaS products. The project shipped Django 6.0 in December 2025 and Django 6.1 in August 2026, and it publishes support dates years ahead. Recent releases added background tasks, template partials and Content Security Policy (CSP) support out of the box. The ecosystem is active too: Django REST Framework and Celery both shipped releases in 2026.
Most enterprise applications should run Django 5.2 LTS, which gets security fixes until April 2028. Django 4.2 LTS reached end of support on April 7, 2026, so apps still on it no longer receive security patches. Django 6.1 is the newest feature release, supported until December 2027, and 6.2 LTS is due in April 2027. From 2028, Django moves to calendar versions, and every feature release gets three years of support.
Yes, Django handles high traffic well, and most scaling work happens in the database rather than in Django itself. The usual fixes are fewer queries per page, the right PostgreSQL indexes, Redis caching and read replicas for heavy reports. Django 6.1 also added a fetch mode that raises an error on accidental N+1 queries. That moves the problem into testing instead of production.
Django is a sound base for regulated apps because it blocks SQL injection, cross-site scripting, CSRF and clickjacking by default. Django 6.0 added native CSP support, and the manage.py check --deploy command flags unsafe live settings. Compliance with HIPAA, PCI DSS or SOC 2 still depends on what you build around the framework. That means access controls, audit logs, encryption and staying on a supported release.
Before you hire a Django development company, check three things: upgrade history, test discipline and code you can read. A good Django development firm can name the versions it has upgraded clients through. It can also explain how it runs schema migrations on large tables without downtime. Ask to see test coverage on a past project, and confirm who owns the code at the end. Then interview the engineers who will actually do the work.
Tell us the shape of the problem. A senior engineer reads it and replies. You won't get a templated capability deck.
